THE BASICS

How to play

What is Marbles: Odd or Even?

Marbles: Odd or Even is an iPhone version of the traditional odd-or-even marbles game. You take turns hiding marbles and guessing whether the hidden amount is odd or even. There is no real-money wagering.

How do I win?

Each player starts with 10 marbles, for a total of 20. Guess the parity correctly to win the wagered number of marbles from your opponent; guess incorrectly and pay the wager. The game ends when one player has all 20.

How many marbles can I hide or wager?

When hiding, choose between one marble and the number you currently own. When guessing, choose your wager within the amount allowed by both players' current balances. The game keeps wagers within those limits.

How do I choose odd or even?

During your guessing turn, swipe left to guess ODD or right to guess EVEN. When hiding marbles, swipe up to reveal at the appropriate moment. The game also has accessible controls for supported assistive technologies.

Is the solo opponent real AI?

The in-game solo mode uses a computer opponent that makes random choices. It is labeled AI in the game, but it is not a generative AI chatbot or an adaptive machine-learning service.

PLAY TOGETHER

Multiplayer & Game Center

How can I play with a friend?

Marbles: Odd or Even is being prepared for Apple Game Center turn-based multiplayer. When the feature is available, use Play With a Friend to invite another Game Center player, and Your Matches to continue existing games.

Do we need a separate game account?

No. Multiplayer uses Apple's Game Center identity and services. Each player needs a compatible iPhone and an eligible Game Center account. Solo play does not need a Game Center sign-in.

Do both players need to be online at once?

The planned multiplayer mode is turn-based, so you can take turns at different times. Game Center handles match persistence and turn notices. Notification delivery and timing are controlled by Apple and device settings.

Can I resume a match later?

Game Center retains your turn-based matches so they can be reopened from Your Matches. Some hidden-marble commitments also require a private secret stored in the original device's Keychain. If that secret is lost or you switch devices during a committed turn, the App may be unable to complete that reveal.

Why isn't multiplayer working?

Check your connection, sign in to Game Center in iPhone Settings, and make sure your device supports the current version. Apple account restrictions and service availability can also affect invitations. Multiplayer must be enabled in the released version; the feature is still being prepared before launch.

Does Marbles: Odd or Even collect personal information?
